An autobiography is a nonfiction account of a person’s life written from their perspective by the subject. It is also the personal story written by an individual about themselves. Therefore, these autobiographies’ facts, incidents, and events are authentic and trustworthy.
To date, all the biographies I have read belong to individuals who excelled in their profession(s) and discipline(s), probably singular in number. There are autobiographies in rare numbers where the subject is multifaceted and multitalented.
Unbounded, published by Rupa Publications, is the autobiography of Abhayanand, a 1977 batch IPS officer of the Bihar Cadre, a philanthropist who conceptualized Super 30 to mentor poor but talented students of a unique person who is loved and looked upon for his ever glowing personality and stature.

Apart from teaching, he is also working on propagating the importance of traditional food, health, and nutrition to the farmers of Bihar. He retired from the Police force in 2015 and since then has been living on the outskirts of Patna.
After the Lalu-Rabri regime of 2005 in Bihar, when Nitish Kumar’s government came to power, Abhayanand was entrusted with derailing law and order. It was then he was named the super cop! The concept of speedy trials that Abhayanand introduced for the crimes committed created extreme fear in the anti-social elements then.
The book, Unbounded by Abhayanand starts with his childhood life, his father and grandfather’s disciplined lifestyle, and many experiences. Each chapter is exciting and endearing.
The book is written in simple language and can be read by readers of any age. The story is inspiring and informative and reflects the hardships that Abhayanand has gone through. His story also imposes the virtues of fearlessness, determination, and positivity in life. The page indentation and font are very comfortable to read.
On a chirpy note, the Former DGP of Bihar Abhayanand says that this book will satisfy many questions and curiosity of people and answer the unanswered questions about society, government, governance, and politics.
This is a recommended read for students, youngsters, and nonfiction readers!
