New Delhi, March 10, 2023: The launch of Prerna Gill’s book Meanwhile, a collection of 59 poems, was celebrated by HarperCollins India at The Claridges Hotel in New Delhi. Prerna Gill, an author, and editor have had her poetry published in The Sahitya Akademi Journal, Indian Quarterly, and Gulzar’s esteemed poetry anthology, A Poem A Day!
The Claridges Lawns were aglow with celebrities, distinguished personalities, and prominent figures. Prerna Gill engaged in conversation with Uttaran Das Gupta, a Delhi-based journalist, and writer who has over a decade of experience in newsrooms such as The Times of India, The Telegraph, and Business Standard, as well as Deutsche Welle (Berlin) and The Financial Times (London). He has also written for The Statesman and The Wire.
The evening was made even more momentous with the presence of legendary actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Prerna’s poems center around mental health, with the title Meanwhile representing our personal thoughts and moments of solitude, anxieties, and regrets. The event began with Prerna reciting her poem from the book, titled “Visit.”
Overall, Meanwhile’s poems create a lyrical, surreal, and almost mystical ambiance that will leave you spellbound!
